Obituary of Samuel Leroy Burmood
Samuel L. Burmood, 75, St. Augustine, peacefully passed away July 31, 2011, at the Bailey Center for Caring.
He proudly retired from the Navy after 23 years of service to his country.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; sons, George and Tommy; daughters, Denise and Cathy; and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Kenneth and Doran; sisters, Beverly, Donna and Delores.
He was predeceased by his first wife, "Bootsie"; daughter, Margaret; son, Stephen; and parents, Clinton and Grace.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at VFW Post 2391, 6184 U.S. 1, St. Augustine.
