Obituary of Kyril Hubert Snedden

Kyril Hubert Snedden, 90, of The Plains, died July 6, 2017, at home in Ogden, UT. Born July 16, 1926, in Athens, he was the son of the late Annis Leroy and Margaret Ethel Chesser Snedden.

A graduate of Waterloo High School, he retired from the Athens Post Office in 1990. He was a member of The Plains United Methodist Church where he played piano and sang in the choir. He spent much time with friends watching baseball, playing golf and enjoying gospel and jazz music.

Kyril is survived by his son, Matthew Snedden, his daughter, Jennifer (Snedden) Radcliffe and son-in-law, Mike Radcliffe.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Burgess) Snedden; his brothers, Owen, John and Bobby Snedden; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Rowland, Martha McPherson and Margaret Snedden.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at The Plains United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
