Obituary of Helen Margaret Kiner Hinder

Helen Margaret Kiner Hinder, age 98, of Upper Arlington, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing. She was born April 23, 1908, and was a member of North High School's first graduating class. She majored in music at The Ohio State University, where she played viola in the OSU Orchestra. Helen was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Linden Chautauqua Club, Norwester Women's Club, Salvation Army Unit 7, North High School Women's Alumnae Association, and was an avid bowler and bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Stewart B. Hinder, sisters Kathryn Young, Doris Little, and Hazel Stritmatter. She is survived by her children, Larry (Marilynn) Hinder of Westerville and Susie (Michael) Buchanan of Plain City; grandchildren, Troy Hinder, Aimee (Chad) Pulliam, Lyndsie (Kelly) Weakley, and Korie (Joseph) Napier; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, with interment to follow in Jerome Cemetery.
