Obituary of Paul Stephen Grimm

Paul Grimm passed away suddenly on October 20, 2018. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Elizabeth Grimm, as well his four daughters Karin Grimm, Judy Iacarella, Laura De La Rosa and Linda Faucheux. He had four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Paul had a full life in his eighty-eight years. He was born May 28, 1930 in Washington Court House, Ohio, among a large family of thirteen children. Paul played football in high school, earning the honored Hall of Fame Award. Upon graduation from high school he earned a scholarship to Wittenberg University. After college he served four years in the U.S. Army stationed in Washington D.C. It was while living in Washington he met his wife Elizabeth and married in 1956. He enjoyed a career in education as a counselor, teacher and principal. Upon retirement he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to pursue his love of golf and playing cards. He became passionate about politics and volunteered his time with the Horry County Republican Party. He was honored for his hard work, receiving a Republican of the Year Award.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 1001 Fifth Ave. Conway, SC on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. An online Guestbook is available at www.msfh.net.
