Betty L. (Cardiff) Haire, age 89, of Friendship Village of Dublin, died Friday, October 16, 2009. Betty was born April 5, 1920 in Pleasant Corners, Oh. to Robert E. and Florence (Heath) Cardiff. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Max Cardiff, sisters Norma Jean Barron and Maxine Bailey, husband Arthur Haire. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, Stewart and Theresa McHarg and family. Betty was a Life Member of the Ohio Genealogical and Franklin Co. Ohio Genealogical Societies and a member of other County Genealogical Societies within Ohio and the Ohio Historical Society. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 in the Chapel of Friendship Village of Dublin, 6000 Riverside Drive, Dublin, Oh. Burial of her cremated remains will be in Dayton National Cemetery with her husband. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh. 43085. I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one; I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days, I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun, of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done.
